How long will it take to recover from a TIA?
TIAs are typically brief and will have resolved by the time you are seen by a medical physician. Classically TIAs last for minutes, or maybe an hour or two but they tend not to last longer than that. The classic traditional definition is less than 24 hours, but the majority last far less. Any longer than that and they are in the realms of a stroke and we are then talking about how do we manage some of the disability that has been left.
